remember i mentioned i went for auditor position interview few days back? and tax officer interview just yesterday(thurs morning)? i told them i will be looking forward for their favorable reply. Guess what both called me and offered me the job. The last few days i am vexed over this issue, auditor or tax officer? As an accountancy student, being an auditor will definitely give me lot of valuable experience, a really great start for my career. However, that auditing firm is rather small and the wage they offer is acceptable around $1,700, kind of average for an diploma graduate w/o any working experience. Next is as tax officer at IRAS, a bigger and recognize organisation. I went for interview yesterday, i was sleepy and i afraid i will screw up the whole thingy. Well, before i could enter the interview room, i need to answer a 2 questions test. I think i really screw that up, i crapped a lot of stuff just to make that paper look completely filled with words. i didn't even check after i finished them. it felt demoralizing. Who know, when i get into the interview room(3 interviewers) i am a completely different person, i am surprised at myself too. i just keep talking, trying my very best to sell myself to them. Whoever spoke to me about their experiences before, i would just share with the interviewers. i told them it kinda inspires me etc. haa.. Well, 1 of the interviewer told me she kinda admire what i said. i guess my job is done then. A few hrs later, they called and offered me the job! the offer is wondrous(right word to use?). Anyway, the offer include 18 days annual leave, study leave, yearly wages increment, bonus(nothing new), and will receive a lump sum of $12k provided i finish a 3 yrs contract. Most importantly, starting pay.. above $xx17. it's very obvious i am going to accept the latter offer. To those wished me luck, helped me and inspired me etc, thanks! (To those who didn't, you can still congrats me me now.. =p) p.s: once i start working, i am going to lead a boring life! )=
